Look at Zizek’s criticism of Laclau, he pays something like a background, a structure of capital has to be in place in order for one to be able to speak about multiple identities.<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to overcome this fundamental selfishness liberal multiculturalism develops renewed sense of being towards the Other which flourishes in the superstructure until it bumps up against the Real of capital and it then coughs back up the identity it can not accommodate — terrorist, Homer Sacer, geek radical, free software, copy-left.<\/span><\/p>\n
